You could also go to the JW Marriott in Cancun. BEAUTIFUL property with a great vibe and proximity to downtown Cancun. Also, their lobster buffet is awesome. The diving in Cancun is not amazing, but it is on the island a short ferry ride away, Cozumel. Worth taking a look
