This is a pretty pathetic reason to return a car...don't expect much sympathy on this thread.

Using your reasoning if I book a flight on United Airlines, I get to the gate and see it's being operated by a Boeing 737 and I hate flying Boeing 737’s, I tell United I don't want to fly on that plane because I don't like it....United should then re-accommodate me to another flight??

Your agreement with Hertz is to rent a specific size for a specific rate. Options are not an entitlement unless an additional fee is paid for. If certain non-essential accessories on the car are not working, too bad. Write a letter and get a few bucks out of it, otherwise you way overreacted on this rental.
