I agree....if you are going to have to stop in SFO or LAX and given flight times, it could be a long stop....

consider going CX down with a stop over in HKG and back JAL with a stop over in Tokyo....but make sure you stay on one airline...i think going via AS to SFO may count as two (then amount of points required gets stupid)....anyone know if code share flights count as another partner...

and also call BA since this can not be booked on line.....
