Was on booked CO 1190 EWR-BOS last night (0809), received my UG on Friday night. Was at the airport by 16:00, inbound AC was there, then the flight gets delayed 1.30mins for ATC, then canceled, I get the re booking email for 1192, and am added to the UG wait list (I am number 1. according to PDA.co.com). Keep an eye on it, but they close the door and I turn off my bberry... after everyone is seated and while they load bags / wait for ATC permission to push back, a couple of off duty FA's (who were hanging around chatting to the GA for 20 min's before boarding) in uniform move from their seats behind me in coach to the last row of F... upon landing I check my bberyy and I was cleared in to F and had a seat assigned (the same one occupied by one of the uniformed FA's)...
If pda.com had my seat assignment I would assume that teh FA's would have goten this on the print out they recive and could have moved me?
Now 37 min's in a coach seat is fine, I don't really care if I get the UG or not, but if I clear I would like to sit in the seat! And in this case after waiting at the airport for over 7 hours to get to Boston I could have done with that seat... lesson learned again the hard way, take the train, it costs more, but gets you there!

It sounds like the GA ran the upgrade list but didn't bother to come on the plane and let you know that you had been upgraded (probably just wanted to get the flight out). Still not acceptable.
