I used the PremierPass Mastercard to book about three months ago. I kept getting error message, so I called the number at the back of my card, spoke to the representative, and got transferred to the fraud department. They asked me to try again while on the phone, and they released the authorization on the other side.

About two weeks before the flight, I was trying to use the Schwab Visa to get advanced seating and baggage allowance. My card did not go through again, and when I called Schwab Visa and talked to the fraud department, they said they did not receive any authorization request from AirAsia. So I called the head office of Air Asia in Malaysia (I had a very good phone card to call Asia so it does not cost me an arm and a leg), was told the same card can only be tried 5 times (which I maxed out), and asked if they could try my PremierPass Mastercard instead. Sure, and it went through just fine.
