Exactly. The current by-number scheme is very civilized and doesn't require queuing at all until boarding time, just like any AA flight. No longer cattle at all.

I am still amazing by the number of passengers that seem to think the numbers on the poles, and the letters for the group, have no meaning.
On the AA front, it looks like my EXP status ends in Feb 2011, as I fly twice a month from SJC-SNA, ant since AA is leaving this route to WN, my AA flying will be much curtailed.
