There are some helpful tips in here (hopefully).

Bottom line: I was able to get one leg of EK in biz and a return on VS in Upper. Not too much work but you have to play the game, particularly with EK. The agents did tell me that they were shocked when I got the confirmed seats on EK because it is rare.
