I know why it went, but I was just wondering about other possibilities, as it didn't HAVE to go then.
I understand that various regulars were sadly killed in the WTC attacks, air travel dropped due to the attacks (affecting airlines in general), it was getting on a bit and Air France struggled with Concorde financially throughout it's service. I also believe BA's delay to introduce the second daily flights (due to staggered aircraft modification), which placed both flights at better times, had an effect.
It did seem however that BA was reluctant to stop. I know there was life left in the aircraft, but was just wondering what could have been.
