It surprised me in that I've never experienced that before. It's not a huge deal, I'm not gonna write and claim that I've been irrevocably damaged and demand consideration or compensation or whatever. It just struck me as weird. Anyone else experienced this before?
This is all part of Uniteds new sensitivity effort - facilitating 1Ks in understing the 1P experience of the last few years. ("Sorry sir, I know you're a loyal elite and have been allowed to pre-board with all the other elites for years on this airline and can still do so on other airlines, but on United you're just not elite enough to go with the first group.")
