The Hilton near the airport is okay. The staff is friendly but clueless. I stay there one night a week because that is all I can handle. I wouldn't recommend it for a 2-3wk stay. The rooms are old, beds are uncomfortable and it is hard to get hot water in the shower. Avoid the Hampton Inn near the airport too. Two nuns were recently held captive there and one was killed. Pretty crazy.

Since this is a Hilton forum I won't go into too much detail, but in case you are interested, there is a newly renovated Holiday Inn Express that I've heard is impressive. It is right next to the Hilton Airport. I've been told great service and nice rooms. Personally, I usually stay at either the Sheraton Waterside or the downtown Norfolk Marriott.
