You really didn't say what type of food you were looking for, but there are a lot of places to chose from in Old Sacramento (I know it is touristy, but that is one the few places I just love to visit). I only live about 20 minutes away from Old Sacramento.

I don't know if you will have children or just adults...if you want a pub like atmosphere (burgers/ribs) or something more substantial. You really didn't give much information to go on.

Regardless, I believe Fulton's Prime Rib Steakhouse (really nice seating...outside and in)....is open for lunch/dinner. At least it was.

And depending on the ambience (and $$) you want to spend, one of my all time favorites (especially for champagne brunch) is the Delta King. We say the same thing everytime we go down there...why don't we come here more often?
