Wait til you find out about PASSENGER PROFILING unless you are Platinum Elite or Platinum Medallion, your fun days of free upgrades are over - big time - I know from experience.
More here on a photoblog I posted about all of these changes:

Quite frankly, Delta ruined their own once "Good Name" with this merger.
My only hope is that the Capital Equipment merger gets held up forcing NW to serve DL.
Passengers, employees and investors have never been so deceived by one company - DL livery is the only nice thing I can say about them.
After telling me I could buy my confiscated miles back from DL (over $6000), I knew it was time to go back to another carrier.
Here is one way you can get some "free insurance" book via Alaska and if you have probs with DL or NW and AS issued your ticket, they can reroute you (and you may find a whole new way to travel in certain markets:

While these articles are great for scare tactics for those who do not frequent this site or for those who do not travel much, I THINK most on FT would be able to see the obvious bias and just flat out garbage presented in these links.
As others have stated, how can the FA's keep track of seat changes?? I am constantly seeing the musical chairs of FC game playing itself out. While I have generally had good service on DL flights, I do not see those same FA's taking the effort and time to work out who is who.. And then to have them have to play God, saying this one eats and this one gets apples and Bananas.. I just do not see that one happening....
I can see a drink maximum, but for totally different reasons.. I do not want to see this..
As far as the 75n issues..... I think this is why a lot of us constantly monitor their seating to insure that they do not get surprised. This is why I keep a constant eye on it. I can see a first time flyer or one who is just not in the know being subjected to seat changes...
