I have flown Avianca in the past and used this AMEX.

Today I noticed two charges in my AMEX totaling about $1300.

Called Avianca to inquiry and the purchase was made for two strangers under MY card number, but with wrong name (a woman) and wrong expiration mm/yy.

I first suspected about fraud. Right now and as they confirmed the charge was done under a totally different name, a different expiration, but MY card number, I suspect it could also be an IT flaw screwing up with card numbers.

They say this was an Internet made transaction...

Beware...
