Welcome to AA! I hike it out JFK for AA even though CO @ EWR is much closer and more convenient for me.

AA miles are actually redeemable for travel on peak dates if you plan in advance even to international destinations. This is a big plus vs. trying to use CO miles.

AA upgrades for AA PLT usually clear if you book in advance (minus some busy trans con routes) un like on CO. I have batted 95%+ on the EWR/LGA – DFW route on upgrades as AA PLT over the years.

Double check if you do make the PLT challenge now/2H09 you will have status through Feb. 2011 as well.

My opinion FWIW: CO staff is generally a little nicer than AA in Y but I’d rather put up with it and be able to use my miles.

Now tell me where the cheap parking at EWR is; I find long term at JFK cheaper than EWR (minus the P6 bus thing at EWR)?
