I had clients just complete a status run on Royal Caribbean. They were two credits shy of Diamond Plus and did a back to back Mexican Riviera cruise - 14 days. Granted, the rate was great, but it was solely done for the status. They knew that I had done mileage runs in the past and asked me if I thought it was worth the money. My response was that if you are going to cruise anyway, then you may as well go for the extra status by staying loyal.
