Maybe there's a bad translation: After the warning, there was the text, "You can earn miles on this trip." (Which, actually, was incorrect!) Perhaps it meant, "You can borrow miles for this trip." I don't know how similar these two statements are in Dutch, but they're not at all similar in French; but, then again, I think at FB HQ they speak Double-Dutch!

PS: According to babelfish.yahoo.com:

"U kunt mijlen op deze reis verdienen." versus "U kunt mijlen voor deze reis lenen." Not that similar.
