GPRS/Data charges Up to 50p a day (for up to 10MB, then only £2 per additional megabyte)
Note that putting "only" in front of an expensive option does not make it inexpensive.

It's very very easy to transfer 1MB of data, and not hard at all to move several GB (say, by watching video). At the quoted rate, 1GB would cost £2000.
