Booking Avis through BA Exec Club gets you a free additional driver (not necessarily related or same address) worldwide.

However, even when not booking through BA, Avis USA/Canada give an additional driver for free provided you have the same address (e.g. as shown on driving licences) so OK for married couples, civil partnerships or just sharing the same address.
