Am thinking about this as a backup to my Nomi card...

TalkMobile World Pay as you Go SIM

* GPRS/Data charges Up to 50p a day (for up to 10MB, then only £2 per additional megabyte)

Not great voice rates, tho...

* Calls are 20p per minute for the first three minutes every day and 15p per minute after that. Texts to UK mobiles are only 10p each

* Texts to International numbers cost 15p per message. Pay As You Go, no minimum term, simply top-up when you need more credit. Cheapest mobile internet rate available

* Excluding calls made while roaming and numbers beginning 08 which are charged at 25p per minute

* International texts 15p per message Standard UK landlines, mobiles and voicemail, 20p per minute then 15p per minute after the first 3 minutes each day.

Am trying to find another source that'll ship to USA. Amazon.co.uk will (all you have to do is enter your regular US-based Amazon login and password), but the charge is nearly US$40.

Guess I could wait till I get there and try to find it, but I have no idea who sells TalkMobile...
Can anyone from the UK give feedback on this service, as it appears to be very cost-effective!

Here's the TalkMobile website: http://www.talkmobile.co.uk/pay_as_you_go.html
