Here's a big shocker...when I met my SO he had never been on a plane! He still isn't big on travelling but he has slowly gotten used to staying in nice hotels and flying in BC thanks to me being such a points fanatic. I will usually ask him for 3 or so alternatives when we get ready to start planning a vacation and I then work from there. (a suggetion I would give to the OP) He absolutely rules out any place in Asia which I'm not too happy about but has been pretty open to most other places. I have found that getting him involved in deciding where to go helps alot. Don't try and get him to go somewhere he has no interest in. One further problem for us is that I have 6 weeks of vacation and he only has 1 since he recently changed jobs.
