as I am extremely impressed by your knowledge of luxury hotels (you must be in the business somehow!? or are you fortunate enough to 'gallivant' that frequently?), I will give the Dolder another try next time I am in Zurich. Maybe they - and I - had a bad day last time and I didn't get the real picture. The architecture and interior design, however, will not meet my taste.
