Sorry I am a complete newbie to this forum with no status on UA. I am trying to fly LHR to SFO the weekend of Aug 21-23. For hard cash it's ~$1100 for economy and with miles I could only find the route below with a saver award:

Aug 21
LHR to YYC
1:15pm to 3:35pm
YYC to SFO
5:40pm to 7:28pm

Aug 23
SFO to YUL
8:20am to 4:40pm
YUL to LHR
7:40pm to 7:30am

The return is much earlier than I prefer so any suggestions on other routes? Also, any ideas if the price will go down and perhaps I should just wait?
