Hey All,

Just looking at finding some accomodation tips as opposed to perhaps any specific names.

Going to be heading to Miami in mid September and looking for somewhere to stay, just a few guys around our mid 20's (heading over from Aust.)

Looking to spend up to say $150USD per night per room, so not really going to be staying in classy places, but I'm having a bit of trouble finding accomodation that looks the goods. Pretty much everything I find when I have a look in tripadvisor it says the hotel is old / unsafe / has bugs etc.

Is this the norm for South Beach? I know people tend to post negative comments more often than positive, but every other place where staying didnt seem to have such a high ratio of negative comments.

Should I perhaps be looking at staying north of South Beach? Basically we decided on South Beach for the night life / beaches, so really want to be as close to that as possible, but if it means staying somewhere not nice....

Any tips from locals or visitors would be much appreciated
