DL Award Redemption vs. NW - Inflation After Unification

I know as a seasoned FT'er, this (contentious) issue has been discussed somewhere. A search wasn't as fruitful as I thought, so I will post here and kindly ask my fellow FT'ers to point me to the right direction; or discuss here if this hasn't been really covered.

I recall reading somewhere how nwa.com showed better flight selection and lower miles needed for redemption vs. delta.com's exact same itinerary.

I've consistently seen with my own bookings the same result.

That said, what is to become of nwa.com's award redemption program/algorithm once everything is done? Are we expected to see delta.com's version of award availability (shudder) or will nwa.com's availability and redemption level prevail? I have a sad/bad feeling it's not going to be a good thing.

Thanks in advance.
