It had better be as I am using several one way tickets to travel to and from a cruise that departs from a European port. The advice I have heard is to bring a copy of your entire itinerary, perhaps some proof of income or assets - although how to do this was unclear, and don't look like a bum. The decision appears to be an arbitrary one by the agent.
