LAX is good for mexico, CO is very strong, UA not so much, but they do have some route authorities, since it is int'l, then they can have CO operate and do the rev sharing. Perhaps even that LAX-GUM route will work once the US upgrades the base there... LAX-TLV with solid west coast feed from SEA(MSFT), PDX(INTC) and SJC/SFO(lots) would be nice...
Not sure if CO wants to go head-to-head with LY on this route, especially from a fleet-utilization standpoint.
Besides, they already fly a "direct" route with flight 90.
