That wasn't a separate airline, that was the Concorde! I suppose they could say, since all seats were first class and so "economy" was the same as "first class" on those planes, that you were buying those tickets at "Concorde economy" prices.

As for "first class won't feel as special if there isn't a lesser person sitting behind you", anybody who actually flew on the Concorde want to weigh in on that view?
