Gandalf (or anyone else!) which would you choose for a first time visit to Monterey - the Hilton or the Doubletree for a short Fri to Sunday stay? I have a res. at both and the DT is a few dollars less. I'm a Gold so if anyone has any input on this I'd be curious as to which property honors that status more. (I see the Hilton has an airport courtesy shuttle which is a plus.) Thanks for any feedback.
