AC Airbus scandal perpetrator finally deported!

It's the end of an era as the sleaziest character in recent Canadian politics has finally been sent packing. Yes, Karlheinz Schreiber, the man who is alleged to have bribed prime ministers and ministers (in Canada and his native Germany), and Ottawa lobbyists and ex-premiers to get AC to buy its first fleet of Airbuses (the A320s) was booted out of the country over the weekend. (And since he worked as an agent for Thyssen, did GTAA officials get to taste from the honey pot for that useless high speed walkway at T1 that seldom works?) Not only has he cost reputations, he's cost us tax payers millions in court appeals, the Oliphant Inquiry (into Mulroney's acceptance of hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash), and immigration services. He and Willy Wolfe, a Nova Scotia millionaire, also conspired to get Muldoon elected leader of the old PC Party to set the rest of his game into motion. (He did the same in Germany by handing out bribes for elected cabinet members and party officials.)

Of course, who's to know if AC would be flying Boeing narrow bodies today had this man not arrived on Canadian shores to capitalize on the Alberta oil boom of the 70s?!
