You are of course correct. While my comment was tongue in cheek, I do think the program works well.

Attepmting to read AA's mind, I would think PLTs buying upgrades are an important part of their income flow. As a group who burns through stickers more than PLTs and subsequently will buy them for a route longer than say SAN-DFW?
