Maybe lucky but I also don't get upset at the way things are in Thailand. I've seen so many visitors get VERY upset over something like this. The more upset and vocal they get, the more things get worse.
Of course it's not right that I needed to bribe two cops for something I wasn't even doing. But a laugh and a smile and 50 baht later I was on my way. If I would have gotten mad, demanded my rights, etc, etc, it would not have ended so good.
