I've got a friend flying BCN-FRA-IAD-DEN-ONT (yeah, lot of connections!), but she has changed her travel plans and is going to ditch the DEN-ONT leg, and stay in DEN for a few days, and has arranged different plans to get home.

Is it possible for her to check luggage in at BCN and pick it up in DEN...without paying a cancellation fee for the DEN-ONT leg (and instead just no-show)?
