Yes. Certainly is a mark of disrespect to those who have paid money to fly CO and
1) do not believe in war as the solution to mankind's dispute
2) are not from military nations or nations that belief in imposing military might on others
3) those whose families have been wronged by military (of any nation) or
4) those from countries who consider the US military as aggresors.

True the US is a military state and most of the population passionately support the military, and the military's actions, and see or agree with violence, or threat of violence, as the solution to all international societies ills and disputes, but CO should not impose that by means of public announcement on its customers who do not hold such belief. I did not pay money to fly their airline to hear propaganda of any nature. If CO wants to only fly war supporting US citizens thats fine but if they wish to reach out to other international communities then they need to avoid political statements. Odd too this comes from an airline so politically correct that on christmas day (I have flown them twice) there is nothing suggsting the day is any different from any other - not even a happy christmas from FAs (I am not complaining though).

I agree they can do what they like with their drinks but please dont announce so to the rest of us.

Well to all those who support airlines demonstration of gratitude to military why not let CO comp all military personnel that fly their airline to infinite platinum status? Wouldnt that be a nice way to recognize their years of sacrifice for their country? Maybe then we would get a slightly different response here...
