Well, there are all sorts of problems with the new program in general. I'm in agreement with most of the posters that there is not a great incentive to do the extra 50k MQM. I'd say fix the SWU's, even just easing up the fare restrictions a bit, maybe adding H,K,Q for international would be a big step forward. Do that and add companion upgrades at the same priority for Diamonds and I think they may have achieved best in class. I don't think that the Sky Club membership is the huge incentive that Delta believes, as noted repeatedly, many already have access. One interesting aspect of this is that it could hit their cash cow hard (AMEX), I can't see the reserve card being worth the steep annual fee if you are getting Sky Club access through Diamond.

I'll likely end up with 110-115k MQM even after making an effort to travel less this year. Thanks for all the bonus MQM's, I guess. I'm really on the fence whether to schedule some discretionary travel to achieve 125k. It's not clear to me that the benefits are worth the extra flying, perhaps the biggest incentive is not to get stuck as a Plat since the benefits are being downgraded.
