This is one of the few properties that doesn't participate. However, in the FT archives, a couple of FTers reported getting points credited anyway, after complaining to HHonors

You likely would get away with it once but not twice (and after all, once you know the routine, why stay there if not getting points right ).

I would try to get points credited. On the reservation page for the Doubletree Monterey on the Doubletree website, it has the HHonors logo, so it is reasonable to assume (the first time) that they are part of HHonors. I would print out that page with any request to HHonors for crediting of points.
