In autumn 2008 I was able to book a great one way fare out of BKK on LH and also I had no idea how to fly to BKK at this time, I booked it.

Later in the year I thought about how to get there and how many times to spend in BKK. Unfortunately and due to my own stupidity, I waited too long and the really cheap fares into BKK disappeared before I was able to book them. So my trip, which should last a week or so, had to be cut short to only two days.
One way fares of LH into BKK are cheaper if you origin you trip in LHR), so I finally ended with four separate tickets. DUS – LHR + LHR-DUS-FRA-BKK + BKK-FRA + FRA-DUS.
