I use to go to Cyprus several times a year and I was a natural customer for the new property. Several times I came close to reserving - sometimes even did and cancelled. They have the disadvantage of being neither in Paphos or Limmassol - so there's no chance of a simple wander or stroll out of the hotel, - you can't even wander around looking for a taverna - so this makes your arrangements with the hotel particularly imprtant and every contact with them to find out what you book to get the upgrade you want has been uninviting.
I think they are losing pots of business that they should gain from being an IC and seem to be relying on giving good rates to package tour operators. Great shame.
