First, I haven't seen anyone mocking the OP.
OK, here's an alternate idea. DL/NW FFers are complaining because systemwide upgrades for plats and their new diamond level are only good on rather-expensive fares.
Why doesn't AA offer systemwides for EXPs that are good on most fares, including less-expensive ones?
Wait...they're already doing that?????
