I like my recent stay at the Regent Berlin, well located for sightseeing and shopping, with Gendarmenmarkt about a block away. All personnel I encountered were nice and efficient, no sloppy service here. My Deluxe Room has traditional furnishing, and everything works. The only thing to note is that the concierge desk is understaffed, it may be unmanned at times. The front desk staff will step in when they are free so this could be a nuisance.
