Welcome to FlyerTalk, susaninpdx. There's a reason why Delta has been #1 in D.O.T. complaints for 2 of the last 3 months, and I'm sure you can understand why. Below in my signature you'll find a link where you can file your own complaint with D.O.T. and add to the noise level. People need to keep beating on them until they get the message.
