Hello,

This tuesday, I was in yul at 4h30 for a flight boarding at 4h55. Usually, this is more then enough to check my bag and pass the security check. However, there happened to be a mega line-up at the regular counter. "No problem" did my angel voice told me, "there is a SE line and you can check your bag in less then a minute. Relax".

Aiming to the left counter, I quickly realized there were no SE agent. Went in line at the regular counter, my angel voice telling: "Dude, remember when you had no status, you survived! And really, you are not more important than these people. Eventually, you will die like them and decompose the same way they do! SE or not!". So she was right. I went and wait online. 4h30...4h35...4h40...4h45the first segment of the line is passed...there are 4 of them...devil voice showed up :"Dude, you should just go in front of everybody and claim your SE rights!"

Angel voice: "No no no, simply call the concierge service. You've read on FT that they could help in such situation!"
Me: "good idea! let's find that number while waiting inline."
concierge voicemail: "please note that we are opened from 5hAM to...."
devil voice:"I told you, you are screwd! And if you are lucky enough to check your bag, the security check will take the remaining time. ah ah ah!"

4h50...
4h55...

devil voice: "see, I told you you'd be late"
angel voice:"euh...don't look at me, you signed the disclaimer when I entered in your life"

4h57, the lady showed up at the SE bag check, checked my bag rapidly and said:"go to the gate rapidly, they are boarding"

...end of story, there were nobody at the security check, I could pass rapidly and be there ontime for the boarding.

Finally, this is a story with no punch....

However, it is not the first time that I arrive at 4h30 and usually, I think I have gone to the SE bag check counter. Is it just my memory who's not right or are they usually open before 5h00?
