I see that the real point of this thread now you are just trying to take advantage of the situation, hoping the person from Y can also get to sit with the person in C, rather than as a caretaker look after old grandma in C.

If you are truly want you grandma to be taken care from the person in Y, why not just ask them to switch seats ? That would be much easier for the person from C go to see your grandma in Y. Or whatabout ask them to put grandma sit next to the person in Y, then solve the whole situation. There is no free lunch anywhere.
