Questions on Using SWUs

I’ve never used NW SWUs before so I have a few questions. I’ve already requalified for platinum on NW, and I’m very close to million miler status with CO so I’d like to put as many of my NW miles on my OnePass account while I still can (prior to 10/24/09) to get to OP million miler status. I have a possible business trip to Hawaii coming up next month and I want to put the miles on my OnePass account. I can fly first class but it’s typically booked in NW F class which gives only 100% EQMs on OnePass (why CO came up with that dumb rule I don’t know). My company gets excellent corporate rates on NW but not CO or DL so I can typically save at least a few hundred bucks by flying NW (even to flying DL as NW codeshares). Instead, I want to buy a B class NW ticket so I can get 150% EQMs with OnePass, then use two of my NW SWUs to upgrade to first class both ways. Assuming that our corporate travel agency books me on 012 ticket stock in B class, is there any problem with me upgrading using my NW SWUs and then putting the flights on my OnePass account (which will credit me using the booked B class fare)? Is it a problem using NW SWUs if I have connecting flights on DL in the itinerary (domestic, like possibly ATL/MSP, ATL/SFO or ATL/SEA) as long as those flights are NW flight numbers? It would be nice if the DL operated and NW flight numbered flights could also be upgraded using the NW SWUs, but if not that’s okay so long as the “purely” NW flights to and from HNL can be upgraded.

Thanks!
