I will try contacting UA to put the name of the companion on the PNR.

Also I just checked and the plane seems overbooked (or at least full in Y) and C is half empty. Any chance of an upgrade? (the companions Y fare class is pretty high). I'm guessing its very unlikely as both have no status.

EDIT: Companion does not have a seat assigned, so I'm guessing at least E+?
