why do some subway (and elevated) lines refer to streets that no longer exist?
On the #7 line the stations 33 Rawson, 40 Lowery, 46 Bliss, 52 Lincoln and on the E line 21 Ely--all have street names that no longer exit.
[For a short period after the 2nd major renovation of the #7, the names were actually removed
