I agree about the Rocks at low tide - take the time to go down to the beach. It is nice if on the return trip you can see them at high tide for a contrast.
I also like the Hilton in Saint John - much nicer than the Delta, in my opinion.
The beach at Hopewell Cape can be quite muddy. Wear sandals or crocs or go barefoot.
I remember when the site of the Delta used to be YSJ's main department store, MRA (Manchester Robertson Allison). It is where I saw Santa for the first time. The Delta, and Bruswick Square Shopping Centre, appeared around 1978 or so.
