You had to fly 120,000 miles to get two PU465s. That's 45000 miles (two carefully routed WAS-SIN trips) more than the Plat qualification. Two RT to SIN, even in K, cost over $2000. For some people, PMUs might not be so bad.
For me they are not. I believe DTW-NRT in coach can be done. Expectation of a few PU465's by every plat, including those qualifying in triple EQMs, and even some Golds is not realistic.
Maybe Plat at 75,000 is pushing it a little for SWU; what about DM where there is a required 125,000 (25% > AA or UA) and not getting some. All the airlines had DEQM during the year.
