11 hrs transit time in Auckland, NZ in August. Any suggestions for killing time?
I will fly to Tahiti via Auckland in mid August and will arrive AKL at 9am. The connecting flight for Tahiti will depart at 745pm on the same day, so I will have about 10-11 hours in AKL.
I don't want to get stuck at AKL Airport, and don't want to stay too long at outdoor since I don't want to carry extra winter clothes just for AKL. I for sure don't want to visit the casino for gambling. Any more suggestions for killing time? By the way, any nice seafood restaurant for raw oyster? Is it in season right now? How about the fish market? Thanks for any input.
