Hi,

I will be flying with Mongolian airlines (MIAT) from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Beijing (Terminal 2) on Friday evening, arriving at 20:10.
On Saturday at 11.25 I'll be flying with British Airways from Beijing (Terminal 3) to London.

I'd like to know whether I can check my bags all the way through to London from Ulaanbaatar. If I can do this and stay in transit in the airport, I don't need a Chinese visa (or so I believe).

I have asked my ticket agency, MIAT and the airport whether this is possible, but nobody knows. I assume this means no. Anybody have any ideas who else I can ask ?

(FYI, after having my passport stolen here in Mongolia I have applied for a replacement Chinese visa, but am not sure whether I'll get it in time, if ever).
