This is really only a good idea if the OP can leave from SVO. Otherwise you have to deal with a domestic-international connection at SVO, which is pretty much a nightmare. The domestic and international terminals are really two different airports that happen to share runways, and you have to wait in a run-down sitting area for a small van to come and drive you across...or at least that's how it was when I flew LED-SVO-JFK last year. It's true that SU is fine in the air, but I think it's best to get out of Russia for your connection whenever possible.
